Location:

  • The Gatineau Zinc project is located about 30 kilometres south of the town of Maniwaki and about 200 kilometres northwest of the city of Montreal, Quebec.

Property:

  • The project comprises the Leitch, Bouchette and Lac Wallace claim blocks, for a total of 109 claims covering a surface area of about 64 square kilometres.

Highlights:

  • Strong potential for a major Sedex-type zinc deposit in dolomitic marbles of the Grenville Supergroup, similar to deposits in the Balmat-Edwards district (43 MT at 10% Zn) located in New York State in the United States.
  • The Gatineau Zinc project includes surface deposits at Leitch and Lafontaine, where channel samples graded up to 24.1% Zn over 3.0 metres (Leitch) and 21.0% Zn over 2.0 metres (Lafontaine).
  • In 2011, drill hole GAT-11-03 intersected a new mineralized zone with semi-massive sphalerite and pyrrhotite that graded 3.8% Zn over 1.85 metres, including 6.6% Zn over 0.80 metre. Near surface, another disseminated sphalerite zone graded 4.7% Zn over 1.15 metres. This drill hole is located about 100 metres southwest of the Leitch zinc deposit.
  • On the Bouchette claim block, drill hole GAT-11-07 intersected a disseminated sphalerite zone hosted in dolomitic marbles, which graded 3.24% Zn over 2.0 metres including 6.68% Zn over 0.5 metre.
  • New and untested gravity and electromagnetic (VTEM, Max-Min, and PEM) anomalies located near the Leitch and Lafontaine deposits.

Partnership:

  • 100% Midland.
