  • The James Bay Gold project is located about 350 kilometres east of the Town of Radisson, south east of the La Grande IV reservoir in James Bay area.  


  • The James Bay Gold project counts 3 blocks named from west to east, Pelletan, Lasalle, Galinée totaling 233 claims and covering approximately 119 square kilometres (km).


    • Early stage exploration compare with the Éléonore area. Altogether the James Bay Gold project covers many important Archean volcano-sedimentary belts, indeed 4, that belong to the La Grande geological sub-province. As the Éléonore and Auclair areas farther west, strong lake bottom sediments arsenic anomalies characterized the area. As well, semi-regional till surveys indicated very strong gold anomalies, many of which remains to be explained. Others are explained by gold in: 1) silicate iron formation with Aspy; 2) in Cu+Ag+As bearing iron carbonate-quartz-tourmaline altered shear zones near mafic and felsic volcanics contact and; 3) in Au-Mo-Ag enriched felsic intrusions. This last type of auriferous mineralisation is a new, very conducive exploration target, that never been followed-up on our properties.
  • Lasalle:
    • Several gold showings found in silicate iron formations, amphibolites and wackes within an Archean greenstone belt
    • North Whip: 5.68 et 4.8 g/t Au in grabs and 2.9 g/t Au over 1.0m inclulding 4.74 g/t Au over 0.5m en in channels.
    • Golden Idol: 9.1 g/t Au in grabs and 2.7 g/t Au over 1.0m in channel and 1.12 g/t Au over 0.5m in drillhole.
    • Curator (new 2017): 22.6 g/t Au, grab
    • Henry (new 2017):  7.03 g/t Au, grab
    • Marcus (new 2017): 2.35 g/t Au, 105 g/t Ag, 3.32% Pb, 5.53% Zn, grab
  • Galinée. Found in the Triste Lake greenstone belt, the Pankot’s Palace showing is characterized by sericite iron carbonate alteration near a felsic and mafic volcanic contact. The best grab sample returned 5.22 g/t Au, 23 g/t Ag and 0.25% Cu and a significant 0.15 g/t Au over 2.5m including 0.48m over 0.5m in channel sample. Late quart-tourmaline veinlets flood the contact zone. Forty meters east, another showing returned 0.31 g/t Au over 2.5m including 0.66 g/t Au over 0.5m outlining as such a 650m2 mineralization zone. Several chargeability anomalies in the immediate vicinity of the Pankot’s Palace mineralization zone remain untested and unexplained.  A till sample collected down ice from the showing returned 1.8 g/t Au with 39 visible gold grains including 7 pristine grains. Interestingly, an outcrop of paragneiss flooded with k-feldspar rich veinlets, located 150m to the east along strike, returned 0.147 g/t Au. Another mineralized zone, named Lost Grub and located 1500m east of Pankot’s Palace shows a Cu+As±Au geochemical assemblage witnessing hydrothermal activity over a 600m2 area. As and Au values reach 0.2% As and 0.19 g/t Au. One of the 5 channels, all anomalous, returned 0.1% As over 4.5m. There too, several chargeability anomalies near the showing remain unexplained. Both Pankot’s Palace and Lost Grub alteration zones located along strike immediately north of a silicate iron formation are believed to belong to a common hydrothermal system. Rock exposure in the area is very limited and more stripping is required to adequately evaluate these zones.
  • Pelletan: Three new claim block acquired following the discovery of a new gold showing by Virginia Mines that returns 3.7 g/t Au. The gold mineralization is hosted in a felsic dyke of a 600m long dyke swarm traced in a greestone belt. Two of the three blocks covers 10 km of the mapped Corvette Lake Archean volcano-sedimentary belt. Historical work limited to prospecting.
